ST. CROIX CONTEST POW-WOW 

      

 

The St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin invite you to share in the spirit of Native American fellowship and hospitality in June: The tribe will host its 19th annual contest pow-wow at Mak’oode Arena at the St. Croix Casino Turtle Lake June 24-26. More than five hundred dancers and singers from tribes and first nations across North America will compete for prize money. Pow-wow visitors can also enjoy traditional foods and purchase Native American art. Pow-wow craft and food vendors can download a vendor application here.

 

Grand entries will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 24; at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 25; and at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 26. 

 

All ages are welcome. Admission is $5 for the weekend. St. Croix tribal members, visiting tribal elders and all children six and younger will be admitted free.

 

Accommodations for pow-wow attendees are available at the St. Croix Casino Turtle Lake Hotel for $55 per night. Ask for the pow-wow room block when calling 1-800-782-9997 to make reservations.
